I'm glad we're not hearing any reviews with design problems for SCV this year. That seemed to be common for last year's show (even though I really enjoyed it).

The jazz-ish / groove section is from Wynton Marsalis' "Sweet Release." Its the second movement, "Church: Renewing Vows" which goes along with the third movement, "Church Basement: Party." Great writing by Marsalis, written for the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra. Man, can they play. Saucedo's arrangement is pretty decent. Overall I enjoy the show, though as someone else said the ending is disappointing right now, as it always is early on until they add the real finale. Loved Bluecoats, too. Can't wait for the west coast APDs.

I hope they convince me when I see them live. I was fairly disappointed with the APD, unfortunately. And I'm an uber-PR fan, too.

Gah! Marching band rehearsal right after work... I'll have to wait until 9:30 or 10 when I get home. teaching comes first...

I'm going into it imagining the worst possible experience. Hopefully knocking myself out will help. I'm in Australia visiting my girlfriend for 3 weeks though, so it'll be worth it.

I'm flying on United. It was either United or Qantas, and aside from the free glass of wine or beer on Qantas, it didn't seem much better. United was a few hundred dollars cheaper. All I'm concerned about is comfort - I'm 6'5" - and neither airline had more legroom than the other or anything like that. I know it really doesn't matter, my knees will be in horrible shape when I attempt to walk off the plane in Sydney. I'll drink in the San Fran airport, then take some sleeping pills to knock me out when I get to my seat, then walk the aisles when I wake up. I'm praying I can get an exit row.
