Try that with the BAR exam..............

...as recently as just several seasons ago----an adjudicator would be (and was, if I recall) banned immediately from any further judging for doing what is acceptable at this present time.

As far as I recall......every show.

As do DCA judges. It's my understanding a DCA adjudicator may go back (up to) 5 corps and adjust the numbers---up or down.

It's my understanding scores will come out in blocks; 4 or 5 scores at one time.

I would sense that may be the individual corps' business to provide, as they (each corps) deems (or feels) necessary.

Very clear and concise. I think the confusion (thus the question at hand) is prone to arise if there is no audience that can give a full spectrum of viable "tastes"; or a reasonable size audience that would offer a genuine sampling of the variety of different "tastes" one may find in an audience. If one is performing symphonic selections to an audience of symphony aficionados, you're golden. Start performing the "Best of Lawrence Welk" to that same audience, you're toast.............and vice versa. What is engaging entertainment to one audience individual (or group of).....may not be to another. All that and 62 cents, still only gets a senior cup of coffee at McDonalds.

Don't flatter yourself. Just stating a fact, predictions and opinions (although possibly fun and/or entertaining), offer nothing to an actual outcome. Unless one has the "ear" of those that would value a valid opinion and (thus) are actually able to do something constructive with the input.

Who cares!! The Troopers are an iconic drum corps doing their own thing at any given time, kudos to them. If someone doesn't like what any particular corps is doing.....start your own corps and have at it.

How 'bout pullin' a surprise for the corps and goin' to the "tick" system just for this evening---without mentioning to the corps organizations themselves---as a special little treat....... SURPRISE!!!! .........all judges on the field except for GE.

No intent whatsoever in demeaning you or anyone else. Sorry if you took it that way. The fact is, unless I'm very wrong (which very well could be)--no visual caption is adjudicated from the field. Thus any suggestion that "on field" judging when referring to visual or color guard is what may "bump" (up or down) any score--is not correct.

You may want to check the facts of where the judge's "actully" adjudicate from................
