CoHmempho04
I got a question to ask, who has marched the most different corps???
Fastone
The Cabs have dominated a lot of the records of DCA, for sure. Here are some of the other quirky things that only the Caballeros can lay claim to in DCA's 42 year history. Only corps to win prelims outright and not win finals. Most undefeated seasons in DCA (4) 1973,1984,1985,1995. Only DCA corps to ever come in last in a regular season DCA show and win DCA in the same year (1970). Most consecutive top 2 finishes (9) from 1972-1980. Here are some Non-Caballero feats that are going to be tough to equal. The Brigs 46 show winning streak from 1999-2003. (Bucs are at 24 as of this writing). The Brigs 8 consecutive top 2 finishes from 1997-2004. Empire Statesmen..19 straight seasons in the top 4 (1988-present). 12 consecutive top 2 percussion finishes (1984-1995), Six consecutive percussion titles 1986-1991), Bushwackers
Smglennon
Westshore won in 1996 and was dead last in Prelims in 2001. Edited August 4, 2007 by Smglennon
TomPeashey
Who has marched the most corps in DCA? I can suggest that one good candidate would be Bill Hoyt... He has been in any number of major corps including Crusaders (he's still there) Brigadiers Skyliners Sunrisers Cap Brass and I'm sure MANY more... not sure which Albany corps but I would imagine I-men at least... he's been around FOREVER (almost as long as me!) BariBone
Getting back to Curt Hawkins and his 17 year gap solo awards..I am wondering if he played the same horn for both award winning years. He was playing a 2 valve soprano in 2003.
Cabsleadbari79
No Curt was playing a soprano given to him from Josh Katz, it was one of the first 2 valve horns that hit the field in 1976 (Josh was 6 years old at the time)
JohnZ
and I think he would have been playing an SCA owned horn in
Kyle B
Another tough thing to beat will be the Bushwackers 6 championships in 8 years - 1986, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1992, 1993.
Bob Kidd
Bush also debuted the first non-G horns on the DCA competition field.
