ESsop05
Hi Tom,Thanks for the info. What is the current rule for prelims seedings....highest score in regular season or Avg August score...or Avg last 2 scores? Please give us some insight. In looking at the current seedings you have Bush going on before Brigs even though Brigs has not beaten Bush head to head yet this season. You also have Cabs going on before Empire who again has not beaten Cabs head to head yet this season. Does the head to head meetings factor into the seedings at all? Just curious how it is determined. Thanks. The seeding for prelims are established by your highest score in a dca sanctioned show!
agrilk
first off, I'm in Seattle and totally out of the picture... but ... I was told... yadda yaddaseeding was by the highest score of the year in any sanctioned DCA contest... the exception rule places a member corps without a seed score in the "Position" they were in at last year's finals... so this year it takes care of the California corps.. this is an amazing lineup... can't wait... Thanks Tom! Appreciate the clarification. Seems strange that there are at least 2 corps this year that are going on prior to corps they have not lost to the entire season. So lets say for example that Cabs went to the West Haven show...and won the show with a 94.xxx with Statesmen getting the same score 93.388 and the Reading show (as it was delayed) got rained out. You would have Bucs (undefeated defending champs) going on before both Statesmen and Cabs in Prelims. Maybe someone can think up a better method of seeding that can be suggested so things like that don't happen.

If that were true, then the order of appearance would be: (highest scores of year) SoCal Dream ( 65.375) River City Regiment (66.613) White Sabers (71.338) Renegades (72.663) Lakeshoremen (72.863) Frontier (72.863) Gulf Coast Sound (73.463) Chops, Inc (75.875) Fusion Core (76.075) Alliance (77.9) Sunrisers (78.738) Govenaires (78.763) Music City Legend (81.8) Kilties (83.8) Crusaders (84.675) Hurricanes (86.875) CorpsVets (87.188) Minnesota Brass (90.725) Bushwackers (90.813) Brigadiers (91.075) Caballeros (92.663) Empire Statesmen (93.388) Buccaneers (94.325)

Tapper7
this is seriously confusing. But glad Renegades dont have to go on according to their "seed score" or whatever THAT is - which would make them, what? 2nd to LAST? Liking the California rule in fairness to Dream and Renegades. Go West!

kylejsoccer
Prelim line up....real one, no guessingTom Peashey said: That rule hasn't changed. Renegades took 8th last year so they're seeded eighth. SoCal Dream took third in Class A last year, same deal. So if renegades go on 8th and socal goes on 3 to last for class A shouldn't the White Sabers be going on second to last for class A? If that is how the rule works
