Smoke?

Quick question...I noticed a couple corps had people shooting "smoke" from fire extinguishers during their performances at finals. Does DCA allow special effects by non-performing members?

I thought it was disallowed whether by performing or non performing members. At one time it was allowed, then I thought there was a rule change to disallow it a few years back.

It's the Vince Bruni law and it will never be changed. It's all good. Canadian Knights used a white powdery substance in their flag poles (years ago) when they played "Take The A-Train."

i'm thinking the white powdery substance he's referring to is baby powder. it does make a great visual effect under the lights.

The Vince Bruni Law: "Entertain, entertain, entertain. Give the fan$ what they want!"

Dry ice, fire extinguishers have often been used. I found it ironic that both the Rochester corps used "smoke" this year. I missed any memo that it had been forbidden.
