JimF-LowBari
Not for nothing, but when one works in a lapel factory, does one ever wonder who makes the rest of the jacket and why? :blink:/>/> Not quite in the Harpo Marxs "unique job" list but pretty different As per the book "Harpo Speaks", unique jobs were: 1) Swinging a tin can to heat up the coals inside for his grandfather. His grandad repaired umbrellas around 1900. 2) Giving the king of Sweden(?) the high sign when the Swiss national anthem was played (king was tone deaf). 3) Guy who dubbed high C for Nelson Eddie cuz for some reason Neslon couldn't hit the note right. "Two guys walk in and one hits a key on the piano. Other guy sings the note, nods and they walk out." (getting the pitch right). NanciD
It's 1:00PM and it's 74 Muchachos time. OUTSTANDING! Thanks again Nanci and Ron. Happy Thanksgiving Sooooooo? Which book do you like better 74 or 75?
gsksun4
Sooooooo? Which book do you like better 74 or 75? From what I heard of both (Not the entire show), the nod goes to 74. Degree of difficulty on 74 is very impressive and Turkey in the Straw is a hoot. And, I'm always a fan of Sinatra's It Was a Very Good Year. ereese
Happy Turkey Day Hometown show bites the dust. It is with sad heart that The Fort Edward Lions Club has ended Adirondack Drums-The Summer Music Games. The show On June 29th, 2012 was the final editions of Adirondack Drums. The Lions have worked very hard for 32 years to bring World Class DCI Drums Corps to Glens Falls but The Lions must call it to and end. Over the passed few year our attendance has dropped to the point that it is very difficult to continue. The Fort Edward Lions thank all the fans over the 32 years that have supported the Fort Edward Lions Club with this show. We thank the City of Glens Falls for allowing us East Field for the day of our show and were proud to say we were the longest running show at East Field. We especially thank all of the area schools that for the past 32 years that have housed these Drum Corps while they were here to perform. We thank you to all those who contributed to the show progam year after year. We thank the Fort Edward Fire Dept. for running the concession stand and the Fire Dept. and Fort Edward Rescue Squad for running the 50-50 at the shows
