TennTux
I believe if you go to your dashboard (click on your name at the top), you can update your list of topics to follow/be notified of any changes. content/follow>content you follow>change>choose action . Thanks John! I've selected "Notify me of updates" Now to see if I get any notices..... heh
TennTux
Sorry - actually I think some of you just need to check your notification options in 'settings'. clicking on your name at the top will get you where you need to go. I'm guessing that in the transition some of your original settings were reset. with that, signing out, and thanks in advance for your patience, folks! z I should know better.... (That has happened to me before on other forums / message boards when there were provider software updates and I've needed to let forum / message board members know) I hadn't thought about the possibility of the software resetting my settings selections. Now that I've gone back and re-set them I guess I'll need to wait to see if I get the "new posts" notices again...
NanciD
Please Read Before You PostIf you *know* who it is.... please wait a while (not everyone is on here all day or even daily for that matter)If there have been no Guesses..........Then give a *challenging* hint. When giving hints on these try to be creative and just dangle the tiniest tidbit. Make people really think / work on it. Then wait it out a while before tossing another tiny vague tidbit...C'mon we've got to make these last a little longer. PLEASE??Also, any comments made MUST be made in good taste... this is a fun loving thread... not a revenge match. Please spew your venom elsewhere. Please submit any questions and / or pics in their full size (preferably JPG format), with full description - names, Corps, Stadium, Year... etc. to:The *Guess Who* MailboxThanx in advance! All that said and out of the way..Guess Who # 500 ? http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2814/10142126583_9413346f5f_o.jpg(click on pic to enlarge)

ironlips
And his waepon of choice is a Getzen Deluxe G/D single piston ring slide baritone. They don't make 'em like that anymore, bugle or bugler.
elphaba01
Yet a tuba player by trade... Worked with him down the road a bit. Had the honor of playing contra (he and I) to balance 54 horns to demonstrate a tough part for the contras. Have the album he cut for his daughter "Songs for Erin" and you're correct - greatest of all times. All the rest of us were trying to sound like him. elphaba01
"Sounds & Songs": If you want to hear HIM play that Getzen GD valve/slide baritone, get the 1962 Fleetwood pressing of "Portrait in Brass", the 1962 Skyliners. You'll find his bari solo on the flip of the concert side. Al,so, grab the Fleetwood pressing of the 1962 USAF Bolling AFB Drum Corps. He's thye featured bari solist in "Summertime", their first concert offering. Enjoy. Elphaba WWW
