I've heard they got a large bunch of auditions (probably because champs were held nearby), so all the marching band people who want to do DCI will do it based upon location. Are you serious? While I was happy to see them back last summer and wish them well this summer, they still came in 20th. So you seriously think they're going to jump 12 spots and go from quarters into finals in one year? Sorry. It's not going to happen. Has it ever happened? And not just finals. You're talking top 8. Im sorry, but I just dont see the Cadets dropping to 9th place...they havent placed that low since 1980! There are just too many people and too much invested in that program to see it drop even below 5th place for right now. Furthermore, while I think Crossmen will improve this year, I dont see them grabbing 8th place....or beating that brilliant brass line the Cadets are expanding on right now.
