Fan Network Live Streaming

Recommended Posts

Question for all who have watched competitions on Live Streaming from the DCI Fan Network:

Do they broadcast the shows using high-camera, where you can see the entire drill from beginning to end?

Or do they use multi-camera views, where they show close ups, and move the camera around?

I'd rather be able to just see the entire field 100% of the time so I dont miss any of the drill.

Thanks

Another question:

Will I be able to hook my monitor up to my TV?

That would be sweet.

High cam doesn't show the whole field if that matters. Starts around the 30 yd line in the front to about the 10 yd line in the back on both sides of the field.

Would have missed the Blue Stars opening if we'd watched it in high cam instead of multi cam...

They panned the high camera over to left side of the field for the Blue Stars opener.

If you have the proper cables you can. My wife's computer is too old to work, but my son's (he's marching tonight anyway) is perfect with a HDMI cable from the Electronics store.

I have one laptop hooked up to the TV using an S-video cable with the High Cam, and another laptop on the Multi Cam. Only issue is that they are out of synch by about 2.5 seconds.

Is there any way of getting the video to not be choppy? I have wireless internet and I read that is a potential problem, after I paid for the show, of course. :(

If you have wireless internet from a router, your router should have come with an extra ethernet cord. Take the cord and run it from your router to your computer. That should fix the problem.

If it didn't come with a cord, you can just plug in the cord that is currently running from the modem to the router into your computer.
