The Other Mike
Maybe they could even move back to the neighborhood and invite all the local kids to join in as activity in the community. That would be a real tribute to their beginnings. You mean go back to being a youth activity FOR the kids ?

Jeff Ream
while rarely a fan of Hop for the last 6/7 years, I applaud this decision whole heartedly.
Martybucs
While the temporary name change is said to give "praise and recognition" to the past, I think the name "Holy Name" was meant to give higher praise to something greater than drum corps itself. Looking at the whole picture, I'm ambivalent about this use of the name. Somehow, I don't think it's right. I don't think it honors the original intent. I am Catholic, and I wouldn't go so far as to say it's sacrilegious, but I think it makes the name seem somewhat trite to use it this way. Yes, it's a nod to the corps past, but not it's purpose. Its a name....the original name.....thats it...........I dont think the original was formed based on religion......it will be an honor to all who walked the path of this great drum corps.
