TerriTroop
They used to publish an age-out list and distribute it at the stadium (was it on Friday night of finals week?). I haven't seen this for a few years. While we can't collect up a list of all the names, I thought we might use this space to tally the number of age-outs for each corps. Please be certain to indicate if the number you are supplying is accurate/confimed or just an estimate/unconfirmed/rumor. Blue Stars - 22 (poster "pretty cetain") Boston - 13 - 29 (various numbers overheard) Crown - 32 Troopers - 12 or 14 (poster was "pretty sure") 08-21-08 - Updated based on replies to date Went back to the Troopers boards. We had 14. That's a firm number.
Piper
I think that a lot of kids want that information, because if they want to audition for a corps that didn't have many age outs but has a high retention rate, well we all know what that usually means. hrnguy500
I'm not sure on BK but I know they had a lot of younger members join up this year so they are a "young corps"...... avg age 19. They do have probably a dozen age-outs at least. I also heard Spirit was really young....avg age 16-17.
Splooie89
I was pretty sure I saw some Cavies stay back and not take the field when the age-outs came on later for their ceremony. So, yeah, I would think they were there to cheer on their elder brethren. CAC had 170 age outs....we win! ....and fold! The full corps of The Cavaliers were directed to sit in the forward side of those grandstands where the ageouts were so they could watch us perform, so don't use that as an indicator. I don't know the number, that's for the corps to answer, but I understand it was a pretty routine number of ageouts based on recent trends. JDWEX1117
Question: In the summer of 2013, I will be 21. I will turn 22 in November of the same year. Can I march the 2013 season?
Strongo
No. You have to turn 22 on June 1st, or after to march at age 22. Edited August 21, 2008 by dare2makemusic
