1974- 20th

As epic "comebacks"? Hmmm. I mean I realize they've taken 1st quite a few times, but to consider any corps in 4th place as having a down year is just rediculous.

I am considering it a down year because they are normally third or above. My opinion so get over it. I'm getting over yours.

Troopers 2005 --> not good

Troopers 2006 --> didn't field a corps

Troopers 2007 --> 20th (quaterfinalist)

Troopers 2008 --> 16th (semifinalist)

Troopers 2009 --> 12th (educated guess)

. . .so, the Troopers = most epic comeback after a "down" year

But considering Cadets' 80s placement, 4th is not really a down compared to other corps. 83-85 1st, 86 4th, 87 1st, 88 4th.

There was someother fluctuation until around the time you marched....by then they'd settled into the comfortable 1-4 slot.

Gotta throw in Blue Devils -

1973 = 23rd

1974 = 9th :tongue:

A great achievment yes. But not really a come back as they were not at DCI in 72 so therefore did not "drop down."

True, but back then, I considered it a down year because when I first saw Cadets, they were either third, second or 1st.

OK then....relative to your somewhat limited experience, it's a comeback....viewed through the lens since 1972, not so much.
