TexasPRfan
I agree with you on Cadets & your reasoning, Granny! I think Cadets are going to pass BD in Indy. BD has a long history of cleanign the snot out of their show, and many years (including 3 of the last 4, people pass them at Finals as their shows lock in. Not all of those drops were from 1st to 2nd, but 3 of 4 have been drops none the less. BD thrives on their cleanliness and wins when everyone else has flaws (see 2003, 2007). In other years when corps are close finish coming close in "cleanliness" and have superior vehicles (Cavies 2004, Cadets, Cavies & Phantom 2005, Cavies & Phantom 2006, Phantom 2008), they get passed on Friday or Saturday night. I think there is at least a 60% chance that happens this year, and the corps IMO that has shown me the potential with their program is Cadets. Their visual demand is superior and more effective (especially as they finish cleaning & polishing). Drumline is their wildcard, and in the end is the only reason I can see them possibly not overtaking BD. If this were horse-racing, here would be my odds on our champion: 1. Cadets - 3:5 2. BD - 6:5 3. Cavies - 5:2 4. SCV - 6:1 5. Crown - 7:1 Field - 99:1 Harvey
dckid80
After watching SA on FN Saturday, my immediate reaction was that HNC was the only show with the horses to potentially overtake BD. Lot's of cleaining to do though.
Nizerifin
1. BD - 4:9 - I still think it's theirs to lose. 2. Cavaliers - 6:5 - These two (Cadets, Cavies) are right there, but may be too far back to pull off a win. 3. Cadets - 7:5 - " 4. SCV - 10:1 - I still don't think they have the package to win, would be very surprised if they managed to win. 5. Crown - 20:1 - It'll be close between Crown and SCV but I think SCV pulls it off over Crown. Field - 99:1 - not going to happen. Did I do my odds correctly? I'm not sure if 4:9 is ever used or not, which is sad due to the number of trips to Keeneland I've made.
COUGAR
West is best! With that thought in mind, and with BD leading the pack, I am picking BD as the winner. On the other hand, my all time personal favoorite is still Vanguard. It may be somewhat of a long shot but I am hoping they will pull an upset. Time will tell and very soon! If Vanguard can get within (1) point of BD, it could happen (again). SCV was one point behind at semis in Madison in 1999. Finals night.....tied! I don't think I've ever seen 4:9 used, though. would likely be 2:5. I think I've only seen 1:9. Harvey

YEAguy
I see many prediction threads throughout the summer listing who people think the top twelve are going to be. Well, I'm not going to make this thread that complicated. There are many who call DCP their summer home, and I think when you are officially prepared to offer your "locked in" prediction for the winner that you can do so here.I want to make an official Granny prediction and I will stick with it through finals (unless airborne illnesses reek havoc). I predict that Holy Name will win it all this year. Obviously this is not a risky prediction and many would agree, but the Cadets have the show to beat. They will have it crisp and clean by the time they roll into Indianapolis. Also, for the record, I am THRILLED with their show this year! I hope the crowd rewards them, first and foremost, because it's a great show, but also because I'd like to see the Cadets return to what makes them great without all of the distractions. Granny ... if the Cadets do win, I will take you up on the Mambo, and I too may wear a dress ... :-0 after all .... it's all for the kids :-) !!! Thanks for the kind words!! We are working ... sitting here in Chattanooga in the middle of a 12 hour day! Peace all
