Regarding the spread among age groups, I'd wager that the decline among 25-40 and then the spike may be related to people having to get jobs, raise a family, etc. Then, if they're financially into it, then get back into DCI when the cash flow (hopefully) picks up or when their kids reach marching age. I am 30 (31 in a couple months), rarely post here, but mainly lurk because I like the banter. I am back in school to get a law degree after teaching for six years. I am married and have very young daughter. By the time I'm 45, she'll be in high school, and my wife and I will have logged a good number of years in our professions (she's a dentist). So, if my kids are into DCI, then we will have (hopefully) the cash to make it happen for them (or whatever interests drive their souls). Again, this is my non-marketing-educated-completely-amateur analysis of the spread. :thumbup:

As to why I'm here, I just love DCI. I know many of the guys I marched with in 99 do not come on here and many do not even follow DCI to the best of my knowledge. The bug may come back when they're older, as I know it has in some folks that I know who are about 10-15 years older than I am.
