Who would win? (just for fun!)

  1. 1. If a "Super StafF" was commissioned to write one program for each of these corps, and they were all judged on the EXACT same material (Same number of members, Exact same drill charts, music charts, guard work, equipment and instruction, (again, its a what if!) who would emerge victorious?

I had to go with Devils on that one. Year in and year out they seem to have the most crystal clean execution. If everyone is doing the same thing then it just comes down to who executes it the best.

if said superstaff teaches all corps wouldnt they all be equal

The way I understand the question is that the "Super Staff" would design the show, not instruct the corps.

Correct,

but each corps would recieve the same instruction.

Obviously not possible in real life, but in the land of "what if". lol

Lets say then (Just arbitrarily)

Visual Design by -Cavaliers Visual Staff

Brass Arrangements by- Phantom Regiment

Percussion Arrangements by- Blue Devils

Colorguard Design by- Carolina Crown

Super Staff fixed:

Visual Design by - Blue Devils

Brass Arrangements - Blue Devils

Percussion Arrangements - Blue Devils

Colorguard Design - Blue Devils

(no offense meant to the other great staff mentioned)

They are going for #13 for a reason.

I voted Cadets and would put SCV in second. My reasoning (again, IMHO):

Phantom, Bluecoats, BD and Crown would have problems executing a Cavies drill to champion level

Cavies would have problems executing a Phantom horn book to champion level

Phantom and Bluecoats would have problems executing a Crown guard show to champion level

Whereas HNC was having some percussion issues that would have, earlier in the season, affected things, it seems like they have tightened things significantly so could probably have executed a BD percussion book sufficiently to win

I put SCV in second because they would probably be more behind in cleaning a Cavies drill than HNC would be at cleaning a BD percussion book.

Also, I find that HNC and SVC have consistently put out shows with a broader variety of musical and visual styles which indicates a broader range of styles they are typically able to executed versus the rest who typically stay within the same basic style range year after year.

I am not mentioning the other corps listed as I think each would have problems executing most, if not all, of the show components (based on the noted designers) at a champion level.
