Yes, thank you.

Well then, apologies. Your original post just seemed "Well, who cares about Troop, Phantom got below a 90"

My idiocy is due to lack of oxygen in the nosebleed seats, I promise :)

Great job Troopers! I was hoping Madison could have been there with you

in finals. If that had happened, we would have had all 5 founding corps in

the top 12 at the same time. Troop, Madison, SCV, Blue Stars and SCV.

Maybe next year. But until then....CONGRATULATIONS TROOPERS for a great job and

a great show in 2009!

Hey, Jeff? I don't think SCV had two Combine West votes. Cavaliers probably had the other one.

Plus, don't forget that while the Great Restroom Meeting took place at a combine West show, DCI wasn't officially founded until the Eastern and Canadian guys came in. So, technically, to have all the remaining active DCI founders, you'd have SCV, Scouts, Cavaliers, Blue Stars, Boston, Cadets and Troopers.

We're almost there!

As a Wyoming native, the Troopers have always been my "home corps," and I just wanted to say how proud and thrilled I am that they made it back into the finals after all these years! Kudos to the kids, the staff and the directors for a job well done.

For those that weren't there for finals:

1. What was the crowd reaction when they entered the field?

2. What was the crowd reaction when they were announced?

3. Did they throw down a full blown Sunburst for finals?

4. What was the crowd reaction when they left the field?

5. What was the crowd reaction to their score?

6. What is the airspeed velocity of a swallow?

I really hope someone answers these questions! #6 is particularly special to me, since a fond memory I have of my Troop rookie year in 1985 is a drumline pasta party hosted by Gabe. He made homemade spaghetti sauce and it was delicious, and we watched Holy Grail.

the average cruising airspeed velocity of an unladen European Swallow is roughly 11 meters per second, or 24 miles an hour

Crowd reaction = epic.

And I dont know how many people would have seen but the age out kids on Friday night did a Sunburst during the age out ceremony!!

Um, sorry, maybe you meant a different thread, but that is not related AT ALL to this one.

- Thanks :)

On to Troop:

[preface: I marched Troop Guard '08]

Fantastic job out there, oh and Dave, Michelle came back? She's a sweetheart.

Guardguy: I would have been out there this summer, but I was being a little responsible with my life and taking some summer classes (family couldn't help me bear the $$burden of marching)

You know what - the fact that you marched last year and stuck it out says alot - major kudos on that!
