Bruckner8
No one's mentioned 99 SCV? I must not understand the question... 85 Star, too, I agree with another poster on that one. That show changed some lives in my world...
gimpy
Obviously not the best of all time or anything but my personal favorite is Colts 96 - Magnificat. I was flipping channels one day and landed on the PBS DCI broadcast. I was a marching band geek at that point, but was only vaguely aware that drum corps existed and had never really seen it before. Anyway, the show starts with loud timpani statement and them BAM, sops come in with a loud, high fanfare that no horns in any high school band I knew of could have dreamed of pulling off. I was blown away and totally hooked. Edited August 22, 2009 by gimpy

Sam98
Another vote for 1990 Star. Water fills my eyes and the hairs stand up on my arms--every time and after all these years.
BRASSO
surprised some of the older vets on here havn't yet mentioned Jeff Kievit, legendary sop soloist for Hawthorne Muchachos, ( and professional concert tour trumpet player today) in opening statement for the Muchachos in '74, 75. If that didn't set the tone that this Corps came to play, and got the fans attention right from the getgo, then I don't know what does.
