Jeff Ream
Where was the power lost at? Work with a lady from York Haven who has been in a motel for a few days now. Figures the cost of gas for the generator at the house was about the same and noise was driving them nutzy kook koo. Just got my fuel oil bill and it's running about $1 more a gallon than gas for the car. Anyone wanna help me walk on the edge of my attic rafters this Spring to add insulation? spring grove. whole town went out
Jaminbenb
Have to pass this on. been down recently, just exhausted, cold, depressed. Was working through it, and I was having lunch at the West Shore Plaze Neato Burrito when I realized they were playing the beginning of Frank Zappa's "Joe's Garage", it was like flipping a switch. The guys working there were shocked some guy like me knew the words. Lots of classics sung by the corps from the Part I album BITD. My problem with Isaac's is not the food, it's the confusing names for all the sammiches! Listening to my Frank Zappa Channel on Pandora as I get ready to head out for dinner. Re-Gyptian Strut on now! That's still classic stuff! Been listening to a lot of Frank lately...Roxy and Elsewhere is being re-released shortly...but I think just the whole Roxy show this time.. Been chatting with Ed Mann on Facebook, off and on.. pretty approachable with questions...said he didn't mind answering them, he's writing his "memoirs" and the questions bring back some of the memories..... Next month going to the Sting/Paul Simon show in Hershey....gonna finally get to see Vinnie Coliauta LIVE!! (he's playing in Sting's band)

Fran Haring
"Love for Sale" has the potential to be a great tune for the alumni corps, once we finish the work we need to do with it. A good start on it today.
Jeff Ream
Heard some warm up outside.... well thats because wiring by an exit sign kinda set off the fire alarms during Greencastle's first performance, and we had to evacuate the building. BigW
It's hard to play, very taxing horn parts, but really satisfying to play it well. Way too fun when you're on top of the piece, otherwise it'll bite yah in your...
BigW
Been looking at some of the stuff on the FB page. Long story, but I use an alias at FB because- there are some people I just don't want to deal with there. I'll talk over a beer on that. I figure I'd comment on some of the pics because people have questions about some of the pics and I have answers. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10152667773733662&set=gm.10152241178284717&type=1&theater This is from 1979, when we just got the new Uniforms but not the new hats. I believe the picture was taken at the Lewistown, PA contest where I think they debuted. Many I see here and smile very fondly on. Pop Rohrbach, Ralph Sweger, Barb, Craig Wert, Ben come readily to mind when I look at this. Meri Beth asked about Jamie Fillipelli. I talked to Steve Fillipelli recently and asked about him. Jamie's fine, I believe working in the Fashion industry in NYC and very, very happy with his job and situation. I was happy to hear he's okay. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10200609858907254&set=gm.10151449344539717&type=1&theater Got to be Bus 3. Looks like Bob Spickler behind the out of focus gentleman with the hat, followed by Craig "Mr. Strinestown" Watson, then Dan Bowman on the left. Seeing Donny Sweger, Bob Menear, and Tom Robson on the right brought a smile. Since Bob's there, 82? 83? https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10200120267356378&set=gm.10151231399084717&type=1&theater Barb Randy, looks like Tyrone "Alvin" Pulley on the right corner. Alvin ended up at WCU with me, marched Cavies IIRC and Royal Guardsmen WGI later on. Good guy. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10200530572165135&set=gm.10151425439614717&type=1&theater I'm thinking this is 1979 since Denny Chiavetta's in the pic as well as Mark Plotts. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10152648391523662&set=gm.10152222488269717&type=1&theater End of Percussion feature, the Prokofieff Piano Concerto piece. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1085638305316&set=o.14493924716&type=3&theater Soop and Bowser. Two of the biggest rascals that ever marched. I have a Soop story about his stash I'll only repeat over beer. "I hear you got somethin' of mine." "Yeah, Soop, I do. You're lucky I found it layin' in the CV parking lot..." https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1085636865280&set=o.14493924716&type=3&theater Great pic of Ray, Don, and Bowser. Is the blonde guy Bill Spong/Spohn!? And yes we wore the capes in '82. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10201138329207288&set=oa.10151527338594717&type=3&theater Buncha Cool. Eldon, Fasick, Some crazy SOB, and Dr. John Kreitzer. 3 NJA people in one shot. Part of the legacy Westshore produced in what I believe is something the corps can take a lot of pride in, how many of us have went on and continued to contribute to the activity. Jaminbenb
There are a LOT of stories I'll only discuss over beers....and after a few so people don't remember them the next day (Tröegs night anyone?) (Maybe when Mad Elf is on the tap list!)
