TennTux
I know - they still talk about it. There are people who couldn't tell you and Harvey Olderman apart... mostly the women I guess... He was the taller younger one that had all the gals asking him for his autograph. (on a side note: I just "found" Paul Gaffney on Facebook. (one of the three Rifles in the 74 Hurcs, Paul, Danny Marion and the Harvey look-a-like) Haven't talked to Paul since around the end of the 74 season or beginning of the 75 season. We marched in the Renegades (70-73) and were members of the original "Beantown Crew" that came over to the Hurcs in 74.) Rifle Line, behind the DL, left to right. BigW
Marksmen Alumni were there in the early 90's. Good group. Trying to recall a few others butv the list seems rather complete. If you want to be technical, call them the USNA Brigade of Midshipmen and the USAFA "Flight of Sound". Anyone remember when they'd sing "Lord guard and guide the men who fly" at the end of their program, or am I too ###### old now? Great moment. Last I'd seen of them was at a bowl game a few years back but they cut them after 30 seconds for more important things like commercials and football. Of course they will show the "Battle of the Bands" in its entirety, which makes me seethe, but that's more a personal thing because of personal experiences with the "pagentry" end of the marching activity... BigW
Steel City Alumni and/or the original performing corps? Must have appeared during that gap between my time, the one or 2 times I sat as a spectator in the 90's and now.
