Hrothgar15
have to watch the gmen show on mute. i'm upset that their staff doesn't get them in tune. I actually can't tell when something is in tune or not. Kind of a good gift to have as a drum corps fan...I think they sound beautiful. And that's all I care about. madalumni
To the above poster...tag ending means they've added more to the ending.... an additional drum break and powerful chord progression with a long, loud unison note held out at the end...with some crazy drill thrown in. I'm assuming hitting the 9th means someone plays the 9th note in a chord structure...I'm not sure where in the show that is supposed to take place. madalumni
What tag are they playing? Ballet in brass? Nope. Not the Ballet in Brass/Brian's Song ending...something new, but awesome none the less! Edited August 1, 2010 by madalumni

That's what I was thinking about the 9th remark as well, dunno.
jblamb1401
From Twitter about low end synth: my son did synth with a group last year and refuses to do it again - said tuba plyrs hated the 3 synth plyrs.
parkbench
Are you enjoying tonight's show? You wouldn't be if they weren't in a dome, dude. Would have been a replay of Minneapolis, and that was great, wasn't it? Great accoustics.....in the bathrooms and bowels of the stadium. Domes are what they are....WEATHER sucks! Are you getting a spiff from the Indy Chamber of Commerce, Chris ? Joking, I tellzya, just joking!
megadrive
I'm assuming hitting the 9th means someone plays the 9thnote in a chord structure...I'm not sure where in the show that is supposed to take place. I'm assuming it refers to the corps playing a chord, a section (usually mellos) ripping up to the ninth of the chord and then resolving down to 8 (or 1). Always a crowd pleaser
madalumni
Good show for the Glass People.....solid percussion, nice visual with a lot of color used effectively, but Brass...ouch, some tuning problems, especially in the Mellophones and Trumpets...and unfortunately, a couple heros sticking out of the ensemble. bdevil08
Gmen are a great corps. Sounded a bit edgy to me at times but they are pretty solid.
