AlexL
If you don't get the happy ending during the Bluecoats show you won't get it... A few of the better corps get robbed by their bad draws. Phantom and Bluecoats.... have to perform before they should. Eh, its the first regional. Earn the spot for next year.
ReformedDCFan
not to be a sunshine pumper, but if the show goes well this year is there a chance that DCI will have a similar show at this venue next season?
bass5
Eh, its the first regional. Earn the spot for next year. Yup, those are the breaks. Think how I feel as a Scouts fan they're going on at 4 in the afternoon before a couple all age corps.
rolyanails
The weather looks like it will be fine. If anything, we may have a couple little thunderstorms pop up here and there; but overall, there should be nothing to worry about. However, I do have a question: at a big DCI event such as this, what is the typical procedure when it comes to precipitation? Nothing more than a short delay I'd hope. goalieguy
stand still in the aquatic center right next door? How about "The Barn"(Williams Arena) across the street? Or down a block at the Field House? Might be just a bit loud.. Pat
Northern Thunder
Given the magnitude of this contest, I'm sure the only way DCI would even consider moving the locale would be if it started storming earlier in the afternoon. A last minute move would probably be out of the question.
7567BC
Ummmm...a 10 hour show?? Seriously??? That's like the most ######## thing I've ever heard of. Why not the format that they've relied upon for the past few years for San Antonio and such? With the afternoon show that determines the first four corps for the night show? Wow...I love drum corps and all...but even I'd have a hard time with a 10-hour show. **EDIT**: Ok, I mis-read the schedule...show starts around 2. But still! Over 7 hours?? Wow! Good luck to every corps performing before like 6pm. Well I guess you'd not have liked days of yore when you had prelims and finals on the same day. 2 perfomances the same day if you made the finals. Those were long days. Oh yeah with rehearsal in between.
