Todd Tanji
Finally, a useful DCP thread! Here in MN there is a movement afoot to define Blue Moon as the official beer of the drum corps activity. It all started when Joey Pero came here with Maynard's band a few years ago. Furthermore, I have personally initiated scores of drum corps people across the country to 12 year old Balvenie Doublewood single malt, so perhaps we are moving away from beer and on to greater things ... elphaba01
"Free Beer": Try "OB" (Oriental Brewery) or "Crown" from the Republic of Korea. Also: The Phillipines had a nice brew in "San Miguel". Bottoms Up....... Elphaba WWW

San Magoo I haven't had one of those in almost 25 years! Used to go really well with a couple of tacos from Via's Tacos in Olongopo City. ContraFart
I am going to go to my crossmen roots and drink my favorite Pennsylvania beer.....Yuengling although they are in San Antonio now, and we did do a show at the Lone Star brewery in 1999, and I did a play called Lone Star.... but I like Yuengling better Edited July 24, 2010 by ContraFart
JimF-LowBari
i said cold AND free ... and not Strohs... Work for a Navy base and heard great things about "San Miguel". Was at Guam and asked the bartender for "whatever beer the people who live here drink". Next thing I knew I had a Bud on the counter. Wish I could remember the Puerto Rico beer I had as that was nice. Then a guy who lived there said it sucked and said we should drink Bud like him. mobrien
and I did a play called Lone Star.... A show I directed 20 years ago in Chicago, which still provides lots of useful quotations on family trips. "What kinda moral can there be when someone hits you upside the head with a hoe?" "Bozier City. One armed bandits, teenage prostitutes, drunken driving; everything that makes life worth living." "Did you ever notice how a Baby Ruth looks a lot like a turd?" Good times. MagicBobert
If we're talking about which kind of beer goes best with Drum Corps Planet, I think they key is quantity rather than quality. I need to be completely inebriated before many of the arguments here make any sense.
