RayH
Here's one I marched in: The Point Pleasent Pea Pickers - (parade corps)
Walter
The Gay Blades might also have a tough time of it. San Francisco already has the senior corps Renegades so maybe the Gay Blades may work as a junior corps !! (no disrespect inteneted)
JimF-LowBari
LMOA, forgot that my old college used to be know as the "Big Indians". Something about being from the town of Indiana in Indiana County, PA. NCAA put the school on notice that if they didn't change the name "No Playoffs For You" <$1 to Soup Nazi>. Shippensburg used to be the "Red Raiders" with an indian head logo. Now they're the "Raiders" with a ship logo. (No idea if the NCAA forced that one.) Why'd it take a week to remember that.... HornsUp
Our Lady of Czenstochowa Ramblers. Befuddled announcers in the 60s, and still would.

"Ramblers": They got it down to "O.L.C.H" to save time and bumbling... Elphaba WWW
FrankBeMe
And speaking of Custer's Brigade, there was also a senior corps called General George Custer out of Battle Creek, Michigan... That was the name of the Legion post. Custer was originally from southern Michigan.
FrankBeMe
SCV broke-away from the Drum Sparks Drum and Bell Corps. And a good thing they did....it would have sounded silly for a national champion corps called the Sunnyvale Sparks.

ajlisko
Here's one I marched in: The Point Pleasent Pea Pickers - (parade corps) There was a small "one parade a year" corps from Newtown, CT called the Newtown Strutters ... they were a Fireman's Corps that only marched once a year in the Memorial Day Parade ... there was a parade corps in the Danbury, CT area called the Hatters (Danbury was once the center of the hat industry, producing 25% of all hats in the US) ... :-) Edited September 26, 2010 by ajlisko
