i'd like to hear arguments as to why SCV 04 ISN'T the best of those...anyone??

I enjoy the SCV 03 line more than the 04 line.

The ironic thing here is that the last four years the winners played the worst quality drums.

Hey look. It's another knock on Dynasty drums. How original.

I went with Phantom '08. All the lines were clean (hence the victories) but '08 Phantom wins on the quality of their book.

I enjoy the SCV 03 line more than the 04 line.

both lines were awesome, but the snareline was definitely cleaner in 04. and since the other 3 sections were bad###, amazing, spectacular, etc. both years...

Pretty sure caption was Gusseck. I believe he and Cassella arranged together. I learned to love Le Mystere des Voix Bulgares 'cause of them.

Re: brands, I recall for sure was Zyldjian for cymbals. Weird to not see that name on the field anymore, for me anyway.

Check brands here:

Edit: changed link to one that includes cymbals and less references to Outkast's song "Spread."

Haven’t revisited this show in quite awhile but it’s amazing how musical this is - I click to a random spot and know *exactly* where they are in the show.

Lightening in a bottle. The players and arrangers made it real easy to interpret visually. And the drumline/pit shoved the rest of us uphill both ways.
