charlie1223
Other questions to consider: What do staff members call themselves? What do audience members who watch corps call themselves? What do judges call themselves? These are VERY important questions.

TubaJon
I feel like i heard that madison scouts "Carmen" was only considered a cast member as apposed to a full member and she wasnt allowed to even get a corps jacket. Does anyone know if thats true or not?
Stu
I feel like i heard that madison scouts "Carmen" was only considered a cast member as apposed to a full member and she wasnt allowed to even get a corps jacket. Does anyone know if thats true or not? That may be only rumor and we should wait for the facts to make a judgment call; but let's say for sake of discussion that she did not get a corps jacket: a) If she was told prior to auditioning that she would not receive a jacket, she therefore agreed to that stipulation by auditioning and accepting the part and it would be a non-issue; however b) If they waited until after she had auditioned, accepted the part, and paid all of her dues to tell her that she would not receive a jacket, that would be very wrong. glory
I feel like i heard that madison scouts "Carmen" was only considered a cast member as apposed to a full member and she wasnt allowed to even get a corps jacket. Does anyone know if thats true or not? I think the official term for her was something like "guest performer." The point being she wasn't a "member" and certainly not a "brother." Other appropriate terms that come to mind: shame, sham, travesty. HH

While that may cover you under the law, I doubt it's a free pass into heaven. I think I recall she was given a jacket in a different color from actual "members."
