Although some tricks used in the past have been entertaining Your thoughts about which props worked the best and which ones did nothing. Good ----- DesPLains Vanguard -1971-1972 Planets .,West side story -Knife fights and all. Suncoast Sound -Vietnam -Ballons and Vietnam Vietnam memorial. Phantom Regiment -Spartacus 2008 everything about it. Phantom Regiment -Rhapsody 2005 -Tap Dancer / Fred Astaire Character Seneca Optimists -1977 -Parachute Santa Clara Vanguard-Uniform Change Santa Clara Vanguard -Magic Trick-disappearing act. Bridgemen 1976-Entire corps falls down after performance Empire Statesmen DCA -some great ones over the years . Last year Wizard of OZ was great. green witch , characters , et.... BAD Boston -lots of bad props 2003- ??? Cadets - 2010 Jeffery Cadets -2007 Talk show/stage radio show. Cadets 2005 -All of it. Spirit-2010 what were those things ? Blue Devils 2009 chairs... Blue Devils -1990 Tommy Field coverings One DCA corps think it was the WESTSHORMEN . had Pigeons during prelim show. let them out of cages and flew away during last chord of the program. was very effective. They tried to repeat it at finals that night . Except Pigeons dont fly at night . They opened the cages and the 100 pigeons just walked around the field . getting moved away as other corps tried to take the field. Some of these are old . Check them out on the FAN NETWORK. Maybe not the best prop ever but the best prop in a winning show. imho Worst - "The Gerbil Wheels" 1986 Star of Indiana. These were mothballed after the first couple shows.
