But I will say the mid 70's Muchachos were the best first place corps before they got caught.

2000 Cadets is one of my favorite Drum Corp shows of all time. Only 89 SCV ranks higher in my book.

2008 Phantom followed by 2000 Cadets.

I was pulling for the Cavaliers all season in 2000 because I loved Michael Daugherty's source work, and was thrilled at the tie. But once I got the DVDs I was outraged. The Cavies' show was great but I still have no idea what the judges saw that put them in a tie with The Cadets. That 2000 Cadets show is in my All-Time DCI Top 12.

I'll also go against the grain and state that if I had a third vote it would go to 2007 Blue Devils. That show took a while to grow on me, but now I love it. The first seven or eight minutes can match up with any show, ever. I think the closer doesn't live up to the promise of the first 3/4ths, but it's still a great show.
