fsubone
Is there no forum for day 1 of Allentown yet?? No, there hasn't been. I was just about to make one myself, but thanks for jumping on it. Is anyone reporting from this show tonight? It should be starting in about an hour or so, right?

Pinwiz
The benchmarks for Quarterfinals seeding tonight: IF MINNEAPOLIS COUNTS TOWARDS QUARTERFINALS: ============================================== - Bluecoats must beat Phantom Regiment by more than 2.85 to advance - Glassmen must beat Troopers by more than 0.4 to advance - Teal Sound must beat Mandarins by more than 2.15 to advance - Cascades must beat Teal Sound by more than 6.9 to advance. IF MINNEAPOLIS DOES NOT COUNT TOWARDS QUARTERFINALS: ============================================== - Bluecoats must beat Phantom Regiment by more than 2.65 to advance. - Glassmen must beat Troopers to advance. - Teal Sound must beat Mandarins by more than 0.1 to advance. - Cascades must beat Teal Sound by more than 4 to advance. All other corps should strive to score as high as possible to make it more difficult for the Saturday corps. After tonight, many of the Saturday corps will have defined numbers to beat. kadune
Let's go Blue! (or Bloo, if that's your take). Hope they close up/catch up with Phantom. :)

perc2100
Is there no forum for day 1 of Allentown yet?? Does anyone know why Allentown is the last big Regional to be spread over two days? When I marched in the late-90's all of the Regionals were two day split competitions (so that all corps weren't in competition in one night until Finals week), but now that all of them but Allentown are one day shows why is Allentown still 2 nights?** ** yes, I know that "2 nights of drum corps is better than 1," I'm looking for the logical reasoning
glory
I'm guessing (GUESSING) the answer is revenue. With the relatively smaller stadium in Allentown, the only way to max out the money is by selling two tickets vs. one. Logistics might also be an issue with relatively fewer schools in close proximity than in larger metropolitan areas. HH
