DrumManTx
What have been your favorite moments of the 2011 season? Can be competitive, in the lot, whatever you wanna talk about. And discuss......... I really enjoyed Spirits Resurgence this season, and Crossmen for that matter.

TerriTroop
Wow I can't even list them all. It was such a great year. Here are some of my faves that I don't usually list (i.e. I won't be a honk/homer this time, ha.) Blue Devils circle through block drill - LOVE that move with the block moving with perfect deliberation in a slow tempo. Similarly, SCV's slow crabwalk drill. Sometimes slow is just as effective as all out sprinting all the time. (or more so!) Crown's "Paint it Black" was my favorite part of Rach Star. Phantom was ON FIRE on finals night. I was totally blown away. I was so glad to experience that kind of intensity live. MUSIC CITY! Great year for you! Shout out to Alan, my Nighthawk buddy, MCDC's percussion director. And on a personal note, I really enjoyed connecting with more Troopers alums this summer than ever before. HLD to you, Long Blue Line! (ok, I had to honk once.) Popular Post Lead
I have an nice story to tell... definitely was my favorite thing of DCI 2011... Saturday night, the DCI Event Staff went into 'rain plan' mode, and Cadets and Blue Devils pits were allowed to warm up indoors in the loading dock, which is sort of the 'pre-staging' area of the stadium. The two pits were really getting after it and doing a nice job going through a warmup routine. It was freaking loud in there. Then, the Cavaliers entire corps came in, as this is also the place where there is a water table and many corps circle up for final thoughts from the directors, and they also sing their corps songs. Blue Devils and Cadets pits BOTH stopped and listened as the Cavaliers sang "Over the Rainbow" and "We Are the Corps the Cavaliers." It was awesome, and one of those things that, as I say, "Drum Corps is all about." I was proud of the kids and staffs of all of those corps.

garfield's_kid
Crown: Herbert smashing the guitar. Madison: Tower fall. Cadets: Demon drumline coming out of the tunnel. Troopers: Infinite chord. They held it forever!
