Madison Scouts 2012

There's some good thick grass there. Any problems with the fields in East Troy are easily overshadowed by the swarms of mosquitoes.

BUT there's always Gus's...

I just listened to the Scouts preview on Field Pass. We were spoiled with ONE FULL MINUTE! thumbup.gif

They sound nice and full! Did anyone catch what the keyboards were playing? ;)

It's been a while since we've posted on here about our little movie. We'd like some feedback if you have a moment or two....

We are two alumni of the Madison Scouts from the mid-90s who are in the middle of production of a feature-length documentary about the group. We began production during tour last summer and have been continuing the filming process throughout winter camps and spring training. We are about to start the process of filming the 2012 tour in less than a week. Please check out our website (www.scoutshonormovie.com), Facebook page (www.facebook.com/MadisonScoutsMovie), and Twitter feed (@ScoutsHonorDoc) for more information, including clips of some the footage that we have already shot.

We will be following the Scouts throughout portions of the summer tour and hope to have the project completed in time for the fall of 2013, which is the 75th anniversary of the organization. While we are currently focusing on one member each of the horn line, drum line, and color guard, we are interested in your feedback about what you would like to see in the final product. Should we focus more on the long history of one of the oldest drum corps in existence? Its unique place in the history of Drum Corp International (DCI)? Its special relationship with drum corps audiences? The brotherhood that comes from marching in an all-male drum corps? Let us know what you think and what you would be most excited about seeing in a documentary on the Madison Scouts. Thanks!
