grenadasmoothie
I had the honor of marcing with Harvey Olderman of the Hurricanes when he was at least 88 years old . I've also had the pleasure of sharing the field with George Hayak, an original Year One Caballero - I don't think he wants people to tell his real age though . John Mayer
The current side-of-field/parade drum major for the Govies is about 64. He says his arms are starting to go to hell. I said so are mine. but the real "old timer" of the midwest goes out to Frank from MBI who marched sop till he was 114. BTW, just saw Frank at Morristown, he looked good and promised to come march with the Govies.......again

Albert "Scotty" McFee was also on the field with Sky and Sky's Alumni into his 80s' ... like George was a Cab's original, Scotty joined NY early on as well in the mid 40's ... :-)

Northern Thunder
Back in 1978, the Sault Ste. Marie Drum & Bugle Corps (comprised of WWI vets) had an average age of 83. They made the national news several times during the year.
