argonaut
What performance standard did you have in mind? The standard of systems that follow deterministic laws but appear random and unpredictable. Chaotic standards that are very sensitive to initial conditions. The kind of standard that make small changes in those conditions that can lead to quite different outcomes. On second thought, just get rid of the two tier system and put everyone in one big happy class. Same judging books, everyone is the same. You appear in the reverse order of your last placement. Problem solved. Edited July 4, 2012 by argonaut
Jeff Ream
Don't know why this would be down-rated. It appears to me to be a true first sentence and plausible second and third statements. Those not expecting something big at the end of this season are not paying close enough attention (and maybe don't want to). bah. it should have received 20 red marks. why? people can;t handle blunt force truth
Jeff Ream
Well, there's always the DCA model. Open is for the big corps, Class A is for the small corps, but they all compete on the same sheets and against each other until championships. It's not until Prelims that Class A corps compete only against them selves for three finalist spots. DCI could do something similar, eliminating the "open class tour" and having the Open corps stay on the main tour. Maybe have a Open show at regional earlier in the day/days? 4 finalists
kickhaltsforlife
I'd love to see YEA/Cadets/USBands books opened...

Kamarag
I'd love to see YEA/Cadets/USBands books opened... I suspect you'd need a mathematician specializing in chaos theory to figure them out :)

Tanda
On second thought, just get rid of the two tear system and put everyone in one big happy class. Same judging books, everyone is the same. You appear in the reverse order of your last placement. Problem solved. And how do you handle the tour schedule's? Force the now open class to do a full tour that most can not afford or shorten every ones tour? Maybe just allow to just Corps to only tour on days they want to.
ShortAndFast
when does guidestar update? YEA seem to submit their 990 in the fall (from the dates on previous ones), so 2011 will show up late in the year.
