Tez
Yes, because no corps has ever come from behind to win the championship..... well, except for: Cadets 2011 Phantom Regiment 2008 Cavaliers 2006 Cadets 2005 Cavaliers 2004 (and that's just in the last decade)
SCTuba
Yes, because no corps has ever come from behind to win the championship..... well, except for: Cadets 2011 Phantom Regiment 2008 Cavaliers 2006 Cadets 2005 Cavaliers 2004 (and that's just in the last decade) It can be noted as well that every year but 2005 it was overcoming BD. So it has historically happened and is possible. We'll see what happens

They never lost again that season after the Mankato, MN show on July 11th. That's hardly a "come from behind".
Tone Quality Matters
After watching both Crown and BD's performances yet again, the OP is wrong. The window is open, and it could happen as soon as Allentown or before. Crown definitely has a shot, a great one.
2000Cadet
It's not over. And if if "it" was, it isn't all about "it" anyway - these kids still have an amazing 11 days ahead of them, and we get to go along for the ride! 11 DAYS?!?!?!?! Where did the season go???? Look, BD is a great corps. They're virtually unstoppable and they constantly put out shows that keep them in the running year after year (despite many of those who dislike their shows with a passion). But the season isn't over yet. Hell, look at what happened in 2008. This is not to say that will most certainly happen this year, but I think we'd be a little foolish to count the chickens before they hatch. skeptic
Basically a slotting thread. Yay. For real though...I have said this on the DCA side too... the placements are predictable because the corps are predictable. Its that simple.

ozarkbugler
Don't try telling any corps members that it's over.
Wadep66
Disagree. Crown has a lot to clean. BD does not. Crown will win brass. Crown may very well win music IF and only IF they can get the percussion cleaned up. In the end, whoever wins effect between the two will win. Crown may have some tricks up their sleeve we don't know about. When has BD changed a show in the last however many years at Finals/Semis? I'm not counting it over until the final scores are announced.
