Dublin Does Drum Corps

Recommended Posts

A LOT of direction changes in the horn line drill during the third movement. Myron really challenged the corps visually this year.

An altered ending to the third movement, very effective and keeping the stabbing chords which really build tension.

I like the use of the female singer while the corps plays the Largo melody, very much like a siren of the sea.

Now building tension and increasing tempo. Close quarters drill moves, too, very difficult to perform, much less clean.

I've seen more costume changes by the guard than I remember from earlier in the year. Might be because I tend to listen more than watch, though.

Final statement of the symphony's closing movement's theme before ending the show. Standing ovation from the crowd rewards an excellent performance.

Shoot, I forgot to take a picture of the corps in action. My apologies to the Blue Stars.

Sounds like Blue Stars had a great run!

I felt they did. Really enjoyed it.
