kevingamin
I'll be honest, I won't complain if they do have all 12 OC corps perform tomorrow... :D
BRASSO
Maybe if they stop playing "rain" songs and switch to Sunriser's Greatest Hits, we'll get a break. OTOH, good thing it's rain and not snow......can you imagine shoveling snow in this heat ? Joe Dz My sentiments on this is the same as James Taylor's song they just played: " I've seen Fire and I've seen Rain, ( in Annapolis ) but I always thought I'd see you ( the Corps ) again " Edited September 2, 2012 by BRASSO
camel lips
No bet. There's just no better way to do it right now, especially with how tight tomorrow's schedule already is. Its not as tight as people have made it out to be. Its not going to happen but you could bump up the Alumni show one hour. Cut out a lot of the over time play the Alumni corps take liberty with and finish off Bucs MBI and Cabs in less than a hour. It could be done but its not gonna happen that way. magicdirect
A few questions; What was the crowd size like? Does Annapolis work for a drum corps championship? Thoughts...
ContraAl3of10
The last three should just Roshambo for seeding.
androidx2
I think Sunday am prelims finish and then finals that evening. Any corps director worth their salt will fight this tooth and nail and I couldn't agree more. These last 3 corps are housing over an hour away from Annapolis. In order to do an AM prelims performance before 10 am your up at 4 am on the busses at 5, stadium around 6:30. That is WAY to much to ask these performers. It destroys their entire Sunday rehearsal, depletes all their energy and does not set them up for any kind of successes Sunday evening. I highly doubt this will happen. I know someone will say, "we used to do it this way"... But we don't anymore. With today's high velocity complex shows this would be asking too much IMO. Triple Forte
Maybe if they stop playing "rain" songs and switch to Sunriser's Greatest Hits, we'll get a break. Joe Dz BTW...if its just rain at this point..(maybe someone there can tell us)...then what's the big deal. Rochester 2006 with Ernesto was BRUTAL !! Especially for the early performing corps and fans (nuts..like me) who were there all day...but still all corps performed. Seriously...unless its a downpour...show should be able to continue...lets hope...
