RockyGranite
I haven't listened to much drum corps music since the end of the season, but last Sunday my son and I went to the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest and heard the Iso Mike recording of Avian on a $275K audio system. It was amazing. I heard sounds that I've never, ever heard out of that show. It was recorded at a standstill performance on the Weber State football field...but it sounded like it was recorded in a studio. http://www.facebook....ize=1529%2C2048

MotoSurfBass
Mumford and Sons, Phish, Natasha Bedingfield, The Grateful Dead, and Dispatch I'm really trying hard to make a connection between those five, but failing miserably. That said, great choices!
Tim K
I generally listen to drum corps when I drive and exercise. I have a range of MP3 downloads beginning in 1976 and continuing to 2012. I generally go for "old school" favorites: 27th Lancers 1977, 80, and 81; North Star 1978, 79, and 80; Madison 77, 78, 79, 80, 82, 85, 95, 96, and 99; Bridgemen 1976 and 80; Garfield Cadets 1980, 83, 85, and 88; SCV 1978, 79, 81, 85, 86, 88, and 89; Blue Stars 1977; KIlties 1977 and 78; Troopers 79, 85, and 86; Skyriders 1988. Phantom 1977,78,79, 80, 87, 9, and 97; BAC 1999, 2000, 2001, and 2003; and Spirit 78, 79, and 80. At any point, I have one of these great shows playing in my car. I am also listening to more recent shows: 2011 Crown, PR, and BAC and 2012: BAC, Bluecoats, PR, Crown, Crossmem, Madison, SCV, Pacific Crest, and Surf. Now if you want recommendations for drum corps while driving, Skyriders 1988 is soothing for rush hour traffic. 1981's 27th Lancers is another option, especially their version of "The Greatest Love of All," one of the most underrated ballads of all time. If you need to keep moving, Madison in 1977 is a great choice. Phantom often has larger than life epic musical choices so they are great for long journeys. Also for winter driving, any drum corps show works, reminding us summer is not far away. As far as watching is concerned, I lean more old school: 1980, 85, 79, 77, 76, 88, 91, and 99 are always my top choices, usually in that order.
