OldManDrumCorps Posted December 28, 2012 Share Posted December 28, 2012 I do have a question about the 2012 show: were Empire's poker chip props inspired by Spirit's props, or did Spirit sell/give them to Empire? The props were purchased by a central NY high school band program. In exchanged for transportation of the props back to NY from DCI Empire was allowed to borrow them. Yeah, only so much time to put selections in... of course, they could have gone the route of creating an original opener or closer that had little quotes from several favorite shows, instead of playing the exact pieces from previous years. Then again, it is probably very cheap to do a show this year, as you would not have to pay for an arranger.
