gak27
You are old school if you have corps t-shirts that are too old to march. Bonus points if they still fit. Yes and yes... :thumbup:/> You are old school if your original T-shirts are old enough to have T-shirt "kids" that are too old to march....and they all fit (sort of)... :ph34r:/> Edited February 20, 2013 by gak27
BRASSO
When the beginning of the show was the "off the line" and the third part of the show was performed standing in concert formation. .... and you just might be be " old school " if you've ever competed in Drum Corps inside an " old school ". The Other Mike
If you don't bat an eye to the words "color pre" If you marched a corps where tackle football ON the bus was a regular event A breakfast of stale donuts and warm coke was considered to be a treat when the 3 man contra line were the bus mechanics when the restroom on the girls bus was a plywood partition and a KFC bucket when you knew not to get friendly with the guard girl that the director had a thing for. The Other Mike
when even though the new V/R G-F sopranos came in at noon, you still had to march the show that night with the old G-D horns because no one was sure how they worked yet. BRASSO
You just might be " old school " if you came back from Drum Corps tour and could speak and understand more French than you could in April. ... and could then tell your teachers and friends when you went back to school in Sept. that you learned a foreign language over the summer. fsubone
If you remember when the contra was the "brand new cool thing!" in drum corps
Mad75
You are " old school " if you recall performing or attending " standstills " in the winter. Yea...We called it "Small Corps". It was a blast!
Mad75
.... and you just might be be " old school " if you've ever competed in Drum Corps inside an " old school ". And man was it loud when we did it!...Couldn't hear each other...Couldn't hear a thing! You just hoped one end of the horn line finished playing the same time as the other end.

You just might be "old skool" if you practiced high mark time shows on ashpalt and paved shopping center parking lots and by 35 you had knee pain, by 40 you walked with a limp and by your late 50's you use electric shock treatments and percocets to ease the pain before you get knee replacements.
