Dan Detweiler
Another of my favorite moments, from a video seen on youtube, the year VK and BD drum majors had the lawn chairs set up during retreat. I can't remember the year, but I am sure someone here can probably link directly to the video, as I have seen in on DCP before. That was 1982 and the Blue Devil DMs were Steve Sanger and Mike Anderson. Both of which would have to get my nod as two of the best. You should have seen their impressions of the other corps' DM salutes, especially the SCV drum majors...hillarious and all in good fun. IDYL krnbasslst
Honorable Mention: - Blue Devils, 2006 - 2010 That moment...classic. Awesome moment, I loved it! Hate to break it to ya, but that's Brandon B. Brian Howard was the other DM that year. Aged out 2010.
rayfallon
OK, I'd like to first point out that the title of this is "favorite" which is a personal assessment. I have to go on record as saying, and in no order of preference, Jerry Morecraft, Claire Emmons, Jim Jordan,Diane Brady, and Karen Rushman, all of the Bayonne Bridgemen. Few other drum majors had to be able to act, emote, be a ring-leader of a circus, and serve as a prism that allowed crowd energy to flow into the performers while completely channeling the wild energy from the field to the listeners, all of whom were Bridgemen fans while that corps was on the field. Except for a couple folks from the midwest that I'd rather not discuss...

Fobo1991
My sister likes to call Dean Patterson (Phantom Regiment 2011-2013, aging out this summer) "Mr. Handsome," and she "ooohhs" happily whenever I show a tour picture of him... Not sure if this counts as a vote.
