Whiskey Posted June 20, 2013 Share Posted June 20, 2013 Went to Crown's rehearsal today. Some thoughts... It was a warm afternoon but decent for Phoenix standards. You could tell though the heat and brightness of the sun was affecting the members. Staff had to tell them to push through the heat and holes that were in the field. There were numerous attack and release issues and the guard was dropping equipment throughout. Besides the typical June intonation issues the staff had concern for, this show is going to be a monster. They may not be a typical fan favorite as in the past, but this is my type of show. And I know this is right down the alley of what the judges are looking for. Wonderful integration of the guard but their work sticks out beautifully. This is something the top groups that have won are masters at. Like the earlier review mentioned, there is so much going on.
