Marvelous Minneapolis Matchup

Recommended Posts

I'm far in the minority, and BD have never been my favorite show, but I think this show is amazing. The Rite of Spring is was/is a very avant guard piece of music and BD have captured the essence of the music beautifully. I'm not sure the judges even know the music well enough to understand this show.

The premier of the music nearly caused a riot so I can see why drum corps fans may not like this show. Stravinsky's interpretation of Spring is a riotous one, so the BD's probably comes across as such.

I'm not watching the performances...live or on FN, so I don't know. Do you think I would ask my question if I had seen them today?

Jezuzz!!

I'm sorry! I am seriously not being sarcastic! I didn't realize you weren't watching on F/N.

Zingali (of course) did the Crown show, via winter guard by Erte in ......1985.

Good job catching up drum corps, it's only been 28 years!

Still loved Crown's show and George would be proud!

Amen.

It's a prism and it's at the end.

Ohhh that. Yes of course. Really cool. Thought it was something I missed. Appreciate the answer.
