GE is key. Does anyone know if winners at Finals ALWAYS win GE? I'm thinking they usually do.

Off the top of my head:

1980: BD wins DCI; 27th Lancers win GE

1981: SCV wins DCI; BD wins GE

1987: Garfield wins DCI; SCV wins GE

1988: Madison wins DCI; SCV wins GE

1991: Star wins DCI; Phantom ties them in GE

1992: Cavies win DCI; Cadets win GE

1997: BD wins DCI; Cadets win GE

In all three ties, corps that wins GE did not win it in semis ('96 PR was 3rd in Semis)

2006: Cavies win DCI; Phantom ties them in GE

2007: BD wins DCI; Cadets tie them in GE

2008: Phantom wins DCI; BD wins GE

Man Bloo keeps besting PR in Music, but can't get that Visual score up. Really wondering if there's anything they can or are willing to do to their guard to work that score up a little bit.

I thought the visual aficionados were blaming Bluecoats' marching style.

I thought the visual aficionados were blaming Bluecoats' marching style.

Could you elaborate? I'm genuinely curious what effect the marching style they have has on their visual scores.

Is it a consistency thing, i.e. different interpretations of the style from different members? Or is it more their marching style makes it hard for their drill to be executed cleanly?
