theCHEZman
Its really the only section that I don't like. I understand they need the happy good times contrast before the next section "Pearl Harbor attack" but I just think the visual /staging is boring. That would be a great place to put some brass players up on that stage and let them do something cool playing/interaction/play each other's trumpet ala 2000 or something...Lastly, the ending minute needs a music rewrite with fast tempo/celebratory/classic Cadets passthrough drill moves to seal the deal. perc2100
I guess we also need to keep in mind the drum score from last night - was not there so cannot judge the performance - but it was a bit off track from the gaps from prior shows Cadets Sunday 16.8 Coats Sunday 16.4 Cadets advantage by 0.4 Coats Tuesday 17.2 BD Tuesday 17.1 Coats advantage by 0.1 BD Wednesday 17.2 Cadets Wednesday 16.8 BD Advantage by 0.4 Comparitive would have suggested a Cadet advantage of 0.5 - or 0.9 swing But different night/different corps = no type of legit analysis at all. The only sort of legit analysis is corps going head-to-head. Maybe BD had an off-night vs. Blueoats; maybe Cadets had an off-night vs BD. Who knows: only legit spreads are when corps are against each other.

This I kinda agree with. I believe Cadets could use more "baby-throwing" moments in their show, but let's not lose faith in Cadets just because they lost their first show of the year.

Obviously not "scientific"/ there were many such swings both with the BD/Coats match up and the Cadets/BD match up so things are obviously in flux day to day as you say

Do they score ie: Crown with a 17.0 in brass and Coats 16.8 if those are the only two top tier corps there or another panel brass guy may do 17.0/16.5 hence different spreads on different nights. George Dixon
and after having seen a video from last night I don't think Cadets had that great of a run, holes / tired feet / tall grass, they just didn't really look that comfortable at times
Fred Windish
Cadets are not quite the story, so far. They are certainly 'high octane' this year, but more needs to come. The 2014 top spot is real challenge. What a season for DCI !

They will continue to change, add, clean, holes will be filled in and they should do very well in the end. I just think it is one of those Cadets shows that will prevail.
