You may as well just post a picture of a plain blue drum. * they look cool in advertisements and other promotional materials * the members & staff see it daily, so why not get something visually interesting * judges on the field will see them, thus adding to the 'home' effect * why not? I get that completely. I'm not totally sold on the rest of the reasons people have given. In the end, it makes no real difference to me either way. It doesn't offend me or bother me.
