Take them out.That's not at all how it works.The corps that plays champion worthy programming cleanest and most effectively wins. Style and genre are not part of the equation (they can't be). Case in point... Crown performed a great deal of... what did you call it?... "minimalist crap" really cleanly last year... and look where it got them. Style absolutely is part of the equation, not only on the brass sheet, but the music analysis sheet as well. It has to be. Now having said that, it certainly doesn't mean Style X is easier than Style Y by any stretch. But it does mean that Corps A playing and achieving Style X is considered, just as Corps B playing and achieving Style Y is considered. You need to listen to some brass and music analysis tapes.
