What did CROSSMEN get a 1 pt penalty for in Semi finals?

Recommended Posts

I heard from a Crossman parent that a tenor player smacked his drums on the bus bay door as he was removing his set (not sure if it was a broken head?)

In any event, the drum needed to be retuned and that's what led to the penalty.

I was also told another corps saw this and "turned them in".

Pure hearsay that's not admissible in court, but this is DCP so take it with as much salt as you deem necessary.

Not to hijack the thread, but why exactly did BAC get a penalty last year? Like, what was the explanation?

Last year, Vanguard Cadets were penalized at Semis for warming up in the wrong place, but they were only penalized a half point.

that one point penalty brought them within one tenth of NOT making finals. That's CRAZY! Has there ever been a corps miss making finals because of a penalty before?

From a discussion on Facebook, someone came up with the Garfield Cadets in 1972...dropped from 10th to 13th after a 1.8 penalty. I have no idea what the story is on that one.

Honestly, why all the mystery from DCI?

If penalties and the reasons for them aren't publicized, how can others prevent themselves from repeating?

Makes no sense.
