2014 Drum Corps International World Championships World Class Finals

INpact, Indiana's Future Band, is on the field now, reminding us that no drum corps has ever played Europe's The Final Countdown...yet.

I went to the drumline battle. I didn't get to stay for all of it, but there is some real great talent out there! It was very packed. There were even lots of people watching from the parking garage above Georgia Street.

At least it's more hip than stuff we had to play in the 70's. To this day, if I even think about Neil Diamond's Song Sung Blue I can't get it out of my head for a day or two.

Darnit.....it's there again!!

The Marine D&B corps was awesome, and it's really cool that Al Chez showed up to play with those kids!

A great effect to start the show - The trumpet soloist has another trumpet lying on the field as if he was a reflection or shadow, mimicking every move.

BDB's opening euph solo might be my favorite solo of the year.

Kid can play.

"It was a dark and stormy night". I keep expecting to see Snoopy typing his story on top of this dog house.
