Pete Freedman
I wish more corps would utilized a media box type item like BD has. It's incredible. Madison has a mobile app similar, but not quite the same level of content. Even the free stuff for non-members MediaBox is second only to FN on total awesomeness of content. Here's just one example of many.

Thanks for the info on the free stuff. I have always had the full content option, but that is just awesome. They make it look too easy. Like I said, I wish more corps would jump on this idea. It can't hurt.
MikeN
I kind of wish other corps would provide this level of content... on Mediabox. I find them much easier to deal with both software (where MB has no parallel in the drum corps world that I've seen) and signup than FN. jjeffeory
Or maybe the Blue Devils secured the rights for Media Box, but DCI wasn't willing or able to secure them for the FN. It's possible that they were simply too expensive for DCI's budget (especially considering the sheer number of synch rights they have to secure every year) but not for the Blue Devils to secure for themselves. Hmmmmm. I thought DCI = Blue Devils, and DCI = All the member corps. Why would Blue Devils secure rights and not have DCI benefit? That would be suspect for sure! jjeffeory
I'm with you, and while there are some shows that I actually prefer earlier season versions (for example, Cadets 1995 had a dozen endings, and I think my favorite was one I saw them do at Preview of Champions). But I suspect we are in the minority as far as overall FN customers, and it's far easier to dump the older shows (and their bandwidth) and just keep the final run for the FN subscribers. If there are rights issues and DCI purges older shows now with issues, so be it. I'm satisfied seeing BD's semifinals run (I didn't order DVD/blu-ray), and would likely not go back and watch and older FN show at this point in the season. I like Cadets early season 1993 before all the changes to the show. I need to find the cassette tape of the earlier show from Massillon that I should have floating around somewhere. That would be suspect for sure! It's often easier, and cheaper to obtain certain rights for a sole organization/group than to use in a compilation, as would be a complete set of DCI corps in video or audio format. At least in my dealings with the subject.

Cappybara
Not sure if getting Mediabox is worth it for me since I don't like any of the pre 2008 BD shows that I've watched/listened to.
