corpsband
While almost everything...and almost everbody is classifying this show as dark...I have a gut feeling that it's contents will be dark, but the total show message will be very positive...just a feeling...it's all about redemption..just have to go thru the dark to get there...I just don't see Crown doing a show with a dark message... As has been said earlier in this very thread, Dante's Inferno actually ends with the poet emerging from hell just before dawn on Easter Sunday under a sky studded with stars. So your suspicion is right on target ( and the end of Beethoven's 9th might be called the official anthem of hope :-) ) Interestingly enough Dante also correctly describes the gravity flip as they climb down Satan's furry legs and pass through the center of the earth. cowtown
Regiment closed with the 9th in 77/78, would pop up these yellow flags, sold the t-shirts; it worked well, makes a great closer

Which is a good reminder that at least some Europeans really did think the earth was round two hundred years before Columbus sailed (as of course, did some Greeks more than a thousand years before that). On the other hand, Dante apparently thought that the southern hemisphere was entirely ocean (except for the island mountain of Purgatory). Edited May 22, 2015 by N.E. For every great leap there is an equally sad fall :-\ Anyway looking forward to seeing the Crown production. Meaty and delicious.
Anstig
It's really just a question of how weak percussion is going to be this year.

Crowncontramom
They won't be throwing Frisbees at Satan, but the fabric parts of last years trampolines have been turned into nice bell protectors for the tubas!! :) Edited May 23, 2015 by Crowncontramom

This closer has the potential to be epic with Crown's brass line, imo.
