frankv
I was wondering what corps house where during pre-tour or spring training. I know some corps stay in gyms, while others stay in Colleges or housing by hosts. I just wanted to know which corps do what and where. Thanks
Herk
The past couple of seasons, BK has used portions of the Denver Coliseum. The year previous to that they used local host housing.
xandandl
There are previous threads from other seasons giving exact locations such as Cadets at U. Pitt. at Johnstown; Cavaliers at Benedictine College, then Eastern Illinois; Carolina Crown at Garner-Webb; Bluecoats have the best facility which is a small college in Ohio, Denison in Granville. The challenge of Spring training is three-fold: learn the show, especially drill to be ready for first contest; meld the corps members as one unit; prepare the corps members to be ready to face anything on tour. Towards that third point, corps like the Cavaliers and Santa Clara will shift locations, Cadets will throw in some overnight parade gigs so that corps members switch from dorms to gyms to mimic the usual tour, and Blue Devils will alternate seating, 1/3 coach, 1/3 business class, 1/3 and admin in First Class. (Only kidding, ha, ha. Some BD homer will probably retort that they all go First Class.) Edited March 25, 2015 by xandandl
Tobias
I heard BD guard gets manis/pedis cut to every fourth day after spring training. Full body massages continue for entire corps weekly.

mj3004
Do Blue Stars still hold their Spring Training in Indianapolis? Do you think they'll move now that the Indiana bill is being passed?
soccerguy315
^ let's not get a 3rd thread closed, ok? At BD I think the members are responsible for their own housing... Crossmen have an athletic facility with a huge gym, a turf field, and multiple grass fields in the San Antonio area I believe.
